The Degree
NC State's Academic Support Program offers a wide range of services to help Student-Athletes make the difficult academic transition from high school to college. While the services the program provides are geared towards first year student athletes, the staff does monitor the progress of all student-athletes and provides academic support for all undergraduate levels.

The Person
NC State student-athletes are committed to service. They play an integral part in serving both the university and the local community. Activities include school visitations, fundraising, the Adopt-A-School Program and the In-Reach Program. Student-athletes participate in reading programs, mentoring, tutoring, assemblies, awards banquets and field days in local elementary and middle schools.

The Setting
Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina, is home to a very diverse population of 237,000 people in beautiful Wake County. The Stage
NC State athletics and the Wolfpack Club are dedicated to having the best facilities in the nation. In the last five years, over $109 million has been invested into renovating and building new facilities for all of NC State's athletic teams. The Tradition
NC State's athletic tradition reaches as far back as 1892 when the first official football game was played against Raleigh Academy when the team colors were pink and blue. In 1895, the football team became the first team at NC State to wear red and white uniforms.
